There are other candidates who support homeschoolers also. Mitt Romney has stated homeschoolers should receive tax credits for the cost of homeschooling. A very brief story outlining this is here:

I'm glad to know there are multiple candidates remembering those that homeschool and your notifying members about that is appropriate. However, asking for donations is not appropriate. No tremendous harm, but please refrain from such requests in the future.
