My child will literally look like she is falling asleep as she is focusing on "watching" while she plays the violin which is a major convergence task as it is so close and weird to look at the bridge and fingers while you are so close. her eyes get droopey and she starts closing her eyes and it is like she is getting sleepy and falling asleep on her feet. This is my "well" 6 yr old. This has been going on for a while and she is not a sleepy child, she is very active and alert otherwise...never takes naps and is generally not practicing at a sleepy time of day it is early after she is wide awake. i just think it is strange and I wanted to get to the bottom of it. She even does it on short pieces...its like she gets hipmotized(SP???)

Otherwise she is an avid reader since age 2 and reads at at least a junior high level speeding through books without getting sleepy!!!!! She reads huge books and if given the time, she will read several a day!!!! When we go on trips, we have to load up and hope they last because she finishes them and then is bored!

She is a program child since birth.
