I take the essential oils and make homemade concoctions with them. I found a
great recipe at a natural website that tell you to brew some green tea. pour the
tea into a bottle and then add your favorite oils for a homemade leave in
conditioner spray. i also use the oils on my skin. since i get my hair done by a
stylist, i'll just take the mixture i make and she saturates my hair with it
before blow drying and braiding. then i just mist it on every week or so until
it's time for my next new hairstyle. i was informed that metal picks weren't
good for our hair but mine is so darn thick that i break every pick i get. so it
looks like i don't have a choice but to get a metal pick as you suggested.
now.care to give me some HOW TO knowledge so that i could do my own hair for a
change instead of depending upon a stylist to braid my hair? i'm going to have
to try the do it while wet advice.

What do you do with the essential oils? Shea butter is really good
for dry hair. Also deep conditioning can help with dryness. Our hair
need conditioning.
I always do my hair while its wet, and add product to it then, it
seems to help with dryness better that way then if I style it dry.
