BioMedHeads is a Yahoo group FOR PARENTS (no teachers or providers)of autistic kids currently treating their children with Biomedical Interventions. PLEASE TELL US WHAT TREATMENTS YOU ARE USING WHEN YOU APPLY. Just give us a list. If you just say "I want to learn more about my options" we hit "deny membership." Please be specific. Sorry, we don't have time to chase you for info!

We are a group for people who post REGULARLY - we're not a research/lurkers group. Please think about that when you apply. When we accept you we really do want to hear from you!

If you're new to biomed we suggest that you read Jenny McCarthy's "Louder Than Words", "Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD" by Dr. William Shaw, "Children With Starving Brains" by Dr. Jacquelyn McCandless to help you decide on your course of action for your child. Feel free to apply once you're using Biomed.

Our members believe in the "one-two punch" of addressing our kids' very real internal issues and then providing the best external therapies available. We think ABA is a powerful tool -- but that conditioning therapy is inappropriate when the behavior is the result of painful physical problems.

Biomed interventions include chelation, diet, supplementation, viral treatments, HBOT, NAET allergy treatments, YASKO, chiropractic and more.
