Hi Mags!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Right now I'm charting symtothermal and BOM for this cycle. I'm breastfeeding my two little one infrequently throughout the day and I have PCOS, which makes me have long cycles with lots of ambiguous mucus, and no ovulation.
Basically, what you are looking for is any *change* in mucus. For example, I have a constant, white, opaque, tacky mucus, but not a lot. When it changes, it becomes more lotion-y and slightly more yellow, then it changes to the clear-er, egg white, stretchy type. It never gets totally clear, it always still looks white.
From my understanding, the quality of the mucus is more important than the color or quantity. It needs to be stretchy to be more fertile.
Are you cycling regularly? Have you tried taking your basal body temps to see if you are actually ovulating?
This list isn't very active. I haven't heard from anyone in a looooooong time. But I do know of some others who use BOM and other mucus-only methods, and we all "hang out" at Mary's NFP board. I invite and encourage you to take a look and join us! It's a great bunch, very friendly, and with LOTS of charting experience, in all kinds of situations. Here's the link:

Oh, and not everyone is Catholic, either, just in case that might concern you.
I hope to see you over there! Browse around, and then post in the introductions folder...
