Re: Digest Number 6

Pam,

I am learning from a lady who works at 'Eioces of Memphis Natural Family
Plamming Center". She has been working there and teaching the Billings
Method for 15 years.

Yes, I am sure you are right that you can ovulate twice in a cycle. I
get what you are saying now, that it would happen all in the 24 hour
period!! yes, I see what you are saying.

Maybe one reason we differ on some info is that I was taught that taking
your temperature is NOT reliable. Therefore, we would never use that
method. I don't remember why, but I will find out and let you know what
she said about it. We strictly go by the feeling at the vulva and mucus
signs.

Your chart is probably the same as mine?? I would love to know!!! Yes,
my chart says you can resume relations after the 4th day after peak.

And oh, how Rhianwen is right!! My cycle always varies from month to
month. It is pretty cool to see it on my chart. I had never really seen
it in a 'formation' like that. (boy, doesn't THAT sound corney!!hehehe!)

As far as breasfeeding goes, yes, you are right about ovulating before
your period returns. I have heard of it.

It is kind of wierd, when my baby was 6 months old, my periods
returned. I had done nothing different and was not weaning her. I
nursed her round the clock and she did not eat ANY solid foods till she
was 11 months old. She just didn't want them. She still would nurse all
day and not eat if I would let her. She is 13 months old now and
healthy as a horse!! She will eat some things now, but eats like a bird
and then wants to nurse and weighs 26 lbs!! She is a whopper!! She
still nurses about 2 or 3 times a night and I wish we could stop that.
She sleeps with us though, and I know it is probably out of habit.

Tell me what you think about that, you guys!! I just love to hear from
you!!

Kyra
