Pam,
I am not taking a class - I ordered a book/chart from a website called
Family of the Americas.
I have never even thought of NFP before about a month ago. I have been on
the Pill about a year - had a disastrous 4.5 months on the Depo-Provera shot
before that. I started having some second thoughts about being on the pill,
both medically and spiritually. I researched a lot on the web, and prayed
alot, talked to my husband, and here we are. Eight days(maybe nine today?)
off the pill.
But my questions come in because I have never known anyone who used NFP at
all, and we have not even told my family that i am off the pill, because
they will probably think we are nuts.
Anyway, I am just not quite certain about the mucous thing, because I went
straight from nursing to Depo-Provera, to Pill. So I don't think my body
knows what a "normal" ovulation or cycle is at all. How do you know if you
have mucous? (I know that is kind of gross - but if you don't mind, I'd
really like to know) I mean, can you just tell? Do you use a tissue?
Thanks,
Amanda
