As ovulation approaches the cervix softens (feels like your lips), rises
and opens some - after ovulation, the cervix firms (feels like your nose),
lowers and closes.
I'm not sure if it becomes even firmer if a pregnancy occurs. I know that
the mucus plug will seal the os, but I dont know if that's something you
should really check for.

How late is your period?? It can take a month before the hCG levels are
high enough to register on an 'at home' test but a blood test should pick
them up ... I dont understand the borderline results - I thought if the
hormone is present, even in small amounts, you're pregnant.

Subject: Need Advice!

Have had 3 weakly positive pg tests, and one that was
stronger, followed by another weak one (today) and a
blood test (Monday)that was borderline...inconclusive,
low hCG levels.

Doctor is not sure what is happening yet. Have to go
back for another test on Friday.

My cervix feels hard, if that means anything to
anyone. I don't know what the cervix is supposed to
feel like at different times, so if anyone can help
with that aspect, I would appreciate it.

I have also been having cramps low in my abdomen, for
the last few days... none just now, but they were
pretty strong last night, especially when I changed
positions or sat with my legs against my abdomen.

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on here?

Rhianwen
