there is a product that you can get at a hardware store,
i am "pretty sure" it's called drain king,
it goes on the end of a garden hose and puffs up and uses pressure to clear the drains,
3 warnings tho ,
1 it might not work for you, right away, because it is made of rubber and was quite smelly right out of the package and needed to air out for me.
2 it needs to go "into" the drain -but some packages have an adapter for tubs and sinks that you cannot stick it down the drain.
3 it is POWERFUL!
so.. if you have old pipes, be careful!
i have knocked the "u trap" off of a bathroom sink with it, if you use it in a sink like that -i'd advise a bucket under the first time,
our bath was VERY clogged up and the pipes were VERY old, and it cleared it -by popping a hole thru the old pipes!
also i would advise when/ if you buy one, you get a hose end shut off valve,
(usually under $1) because most of the time the hose faucet isn't right by where your other plumbing is and you end up running back and forth franticly to turn off and on the hose.
other than these precautions, the drain king thingy works GREAT!
(one of my favorite tools!)
also, sometimes a drain service like "roter rooter" can clear it from the "outside clear out drain", and not have to have the stinky people in the house, as much, altho they usually always just have to "check out what's going on" in the bathroom.
we have used "flow" from gardens alive (like bac-out)
it is great for maintaining drains, but not so hot for clearing.
i did break down and try "the toxic stuff" in our unopenable tub
you can go online and find the least toxic of the toxic ones
i ended up with "liquid plummer gel"
it smelled very strongly like bleach,
and then there is the concern of putting something that toxic down the water line into the ecosystem!
(but we had no bath for almost year, so i was desperate)
they do make pretty small snakes, and you probably can rent one or buy one and then return it, they have a really good kind, now, that i think you can rent, that is a snake on a electric thing that goes into the drain and the electric motor does all the work wiggling it for you.
we used one once when our drain wasn't REALLY bad
good luck!
