Re: hi again

Hi - I'm Tammi McKinley, a homebirth midwife in Virginia. So glad to
join you!

As to responses to ACOG, MANA, AABC, ACNM, White Ribbon Alliance and
others have sent letters directly to ACOG. By not making them public
via press releases, they did not make ACOG's statement public - it is
well known in the birth arena, but not in the mainstream - which is
fine. They have no evidence to support their claims, so let them vent
as they will - behind closed doors :-)

Tammi

I have to say that the book wasn't this for me at all, Michelle. In fact, I enjoyed it enough to purchase a copy for myself to be part of my personal lending...

Hi all, In response to Cathleen. I just went back to the CDC website just now. You are indeed right, data for 2005 puts the c-section rate at an appalling...

I had the opposite feeling. For doulas, midwives and other members of the "birth community" I don't think this book is very radical, but for mainstream women...

There's been lots of discussion on the ACOG statement on the various lists that I participate on, but I hadn't realized it was in response to the change in the...
