Hello Ladies!
I was the producer of BOLD in Hartford this past Labor Day weekend,
and I am working on compiling a website relating to birth in the
Greater Hartford area of Connecticut.
I am compiling book reviews to post on the website and would
appreciate your help, as I am having a hard time covering all the
literature that is currently available. Reviews of all books
relating to birth, non-fiction and fiction, are welcome.
Book reviews should be in Microsoft Word, about 1 page long and
contain a summary of the book followed by your thoughts and
opinions. Comments might include who you think would find the book
most useful or interesting, how accurate you found the information to
be, is the book "medically" or "naturally" oriented, how easy a read
is it, etc. Please include the complete title, author, copyright and
publisher info as well as your name as author of the review to ensure
that everyone receives proper credit.
My hope is that these reviews will help women find books that are
empowering as well as educational that resonate for them as
individuals. Also, they will provide information for birth
professionals to suggest reading material beyond "What to Expect..."
I have not been able to read the current book for the BOLD Book Club
or "Birth House" because I've been reading Naomi Wolf, Peggy Vincent,
Ina May and several others, so if anyone would like to do reviews of
the books from this club, that would be a great place to start.
Thanks in advance for your input!
Sincerely,
Michal
