I had the opposite feeling. For doulas, midwives and other members of the "birth community" I don't think this  book is very radical, but for mainstream women I feel they definitely do not get this information. Even my closest friend, who is currently pregnant with her first and decided to have a homebirth, just told me that the only childbirth book she has purchased is What to Expect When You're Expecting. The information in Giving Birth With Confidence is DEFINITELY not in What to Expect.
