BODY-UK was launched on 3 January 2000 and currently has a membership of 77
subscribers. There have been 196 messages the last being sent on 7 July 2006,
18 months ago!

Since the last message the Human Tissue Act 2004 has been fully implemented,
the Dept of Health has launched a schools education package on organ donation
and transplantation and the Organ and Transplantation Task Force has published
its Report with 14 recommendations to improve UK organ donation. Organs for
sale, Presumed Consent Opt Out and tourist transplants topics have been greatly
discussed. Plenty of opportunity for discussion within BODY-UK.

BODY has had a difficult 15 months but has emerged with a stronger Committee
supported by 3 new and experienced officers. John and Margaret Evans are
pleased to be semi retired and were very pleased to accept the position of
BODY joint Presidents.

Comments welcomed.

John Evans

Hello John and Margaret,

Congratulations on your joint presidency!

We're still here in Australia and looking forward to a re-energised group.

Wishing you both all the very best,

Vicki & Paul

Hi Paul and Vicki,

Thank you for your congrats.

Yes, it would be good to see more action in BODY-UK. Due to some internal
difficulties within the previous BODY Trustees, I and other Trustees have had
our hands full getting back to a positive and progressive position.

This being achieved I will update you directly.

Wishing you and Vicki every success and good health,
John and Margaret
