Transplant Partnership email re Screen Saver   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #93 of 177 |
The Transplant Partnership, led by the British Medical Association, is
carrying out a Christmas campaign encouraging people to sign up to the NHS
Organ Donor Register with the slogan "Sign one more card this Christmas".

A screensaver ? showing Father Christmas deciding to sign one more card ? has
been designed and animated for the campaign. It also gives details of how to
join the organ donor register. Please install this onto your computer for
the month of December by following the simple instructions on the
Transplant Partnership's website:
http://www.bma.org.uk/transplant.nsf/docs/Christmas+campaign
(We are expecting high demand so if you encounter a slow response from the
server, please try again later.) Please also forward this E-mail to your
friends, family and colleagues and ask them to do the same.

There are currently nearly 7,000 people waiting for an organ transplant and
many will die before a suitable organ becomes available. Although 70% of the
population express a wish to donate organs after their death, only 15% of the
population have signed up to the organ donor register. This Christmas,
don't just think about it, but do something. You can sign up to the NHS
Organ Donor Register by telephoning 0845 60 60 400 or you can register
online at http://www.nhs.uk/organdonor so why don't you sign one more card
this Christmas?
