My own experiences tell me that professionals in every walk of life lie for
their own benefits. (not just politicians) I was told I was on the
Transplant list and carried a pager for two years, I was told by a surgeon
at Adenbrooks that he would give me a transplant. A year later he said, he
had never said any such thing and I had never been on the transplant list,
he also said I had a bad heart, although twelve months previously I'd had an
Echo cardiogram, and my heart was fine, I asked to see a heart specialist
every time I went on dialysis, three months later I had another Echo, and
everything is OK I told the Doctor He is a liar.
Do not take what Doctors tell you at face value, some of them have their own
agendas they work to. Some of them think that they are GOD!.
Cheers,
Len.

Subject: Re: [BODY-UK] HELP NEEDED
Thank you Deborah and Paul for your kind remarks. However I am merely
reporting
what I believe to be correct information gleaned over the last 16 years.
Readers, especially of Internet information where there is much unverified
input, should always be objectively critical. I used to say all Christian
Scientists were against organ donation. Then I heard on TV a follower of
'Christian Scientists I' saying it was OK and he was a potential donor.
Likewise Len's experience regarding a Jehovah's Witness declining a
transplant
contrary to their general guidelines. The reason is that we are all
individuals
with the 'freedom of choice' to make up our own minds irrespective of
various
religious and legal statements.
A more difficult area to be critical is when professionals make statements.
The
tendency is to automatically believe what they are saying - not always the
case
as with the recent case that organ donors feel pain, which was debunked by
peer
group professionals.
Two good Web search engines to try and check information are:
http://www.alltheweb.com and
http://www.google.com
They have large databases and are very fast!
Keep up the good work,
John Evans
