What's new in the revised 2nd printing of the book:
"The Creed of the Four Imaams"?

- Entire translation reviewed, ammended

- Hadeeths & many prolific statements of the imaams
added IN ARABIC, fully vowelled and easy to read

- footnotes seperated and identified, those by the
translator noted with [Translator:], those from the
editor noted with [Editor:]

- Glossary redone for accuracy and to inlude all the
Arabic words used in the book

- Many long footnotes from the translator abridged,
some removed

- Unauthentic reports identified

- Errors based on printing mistakes in the arabic
original ammended

This is what I remember from my work on the book last
year, and anything that I was able to accomplish in it
that benefits Islam and the Muslims in only from
Allaah's tawfeeq, and we ask Allaah to forgive our
mistakes.

The first type, genuine magic, consists of the

the names of devils on talismans. This is what genuine
magic is, and it is something that has an effect on
the targeted person, either by him being killed,
becoming sick, or his mind being affected..."

We wanted to share an important hadeeth with you,
highlighting a number of benefits found in it, hoping
that Allaah will grant us all an increase in
understanding His Religion and firmness upon His
obedience.

The hadeeth is: "All of my ummah (nation of followers)
will be excused, except for the mujaahireen (those who
make their sins known).  And verily it is a kind of
mujaaharah (exposing one's sins) that a man does
something (sinful) at night, and then in the morning,
when Allaah has screened his sin for him, he says,
'Hey So-and-So!  I did such-and-such last night...'
And the night passed with His Lord screening him, and
he wakes up casting aside the screen of Allaah from
himself." [Bukhaaree/Muslim]

One's Islaam" explained by Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan:

"[Q9]:  What is the ruling on a person who praises the
status of a professional ballplayer who is a
disbeliever, he praises him as he was instrumental in
the team's victory?

[A9]:  He did not praise him because of his disbelief,
rather he only praised him because of his game or his
playing skills.  In any case, this is a grave affair,
one that he has earned sins due to it.  However, it
does not reach the level of disbelief.  Disbelief
would be if he praised him for his disbelief,
misguidance, or polytheism.  Then he would become a
disbeliever.  As for praising him due to his playing
ability or some productive skill that he has, then
this includes glorifying a disbeliever, which is a
sin, but it does not reach the level of disbelief."

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful...

Al Imam ibn ul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah mentions in his
tremendous book "al-Jawaab ul-Kaafy li man sa`ala 'an
id-daa`ish-Shaafi" also called "ad-Daa`u wad-dawaa`":

"...And also in 'al-Hilya' [is a report] that Ibn
'Abbaas said, 'Oh sinner, don't feel safe from the
evil consequence of it (sin).  And that which comes
along with sin is greater (in evil) than the sin:

The minute amount of shyness that you have from the
one on your right and the one on your left while your
committing sin is greater (in evil)than the sin;

And your laughing while you don't know what Allah will
do with you is greater (in evil) than the sin;

And your happiness with sin when you commit it is
greater (in evil) than the sin;

And your sadness over sin when it (the chance to
commit sin) passes you is greater (in evil) than the
sin;

And your fear of the wind when it moves the door which
veils you while you're committing sin, and your heart
isn't disturbed (by the fact) that Allah sees you is
greater (in evil) than the sin..."
