As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
In the Name of Allaah, Ar-Rahmaan, may His Salaah and Salaam be upon
His final Messenger, to proceed:
Firstly and most importantly -
May Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, protect the Muslims of America
and elsewhere from unjust retaliations from recent events.
Muslims must take care and know that the American public, quite
sadly, has been led to believe by the media that Islaam and Muslims
are blameworthy. Americans may turn against the Muslims at any time
or place for their revenge.
All American Muslims must realize that, no matter who was REALLY
behind these attacks, that they are in danger of being arrested,
detained, harrassed, or even physically attacked at any place. Do
not take this lightly.
Anyone carrying illegal firearms should legalize them or stop
carrying them. Any seemingly "small" violations of US laws must be
avoided at all costs. They may lead to arrest and detainment.
And I plea to my dear sisters in America - Please sisters, stay in
your houses! You are in great danger, do not take it lightly.
If you make any statements about these attacks, then let it be based
on knowledge of what the scholars of Islaam have said about these
kinds of actions. These actions are HARAAM in Islaam! Refer to
http://fatwa-online.com for a FATWA FOCUS on hijacking and suicide
bombing. Be careful about letting the press get the quotes they want
from you, to further convict Islaam and the Muslims.
Secondly - beloved brothers and sisters in Islaam - Remember what
your Messenger told you 1400 years ago, as collected in At-Tirmithee,
that "if the whole nation gathered together to harm you, they could
not harm you with anything except that which Allaah prescribed for
you." While taking necessary precautions, turn to Allaah with
supplication. Turn to Allaah with tawbah. Draw close to Allaah with
acts of worship, so that He, Mighty and Majestic, will keep the harm
from your way.
I pray this advice reaches you and benefits you, and Allaah knows
best.
Your brother,
Abul-'Abbaas
