Shaykh Muhammad 'Umar Baazmool was asked the following
question:

"I understand that the qiyaam al-layl (the night
prayer) has to be a certain number of rak'ahs. Could
you clarify the correct position in this issue,
including a discussion of the different opinions of
the scholars? May Allaah reward you much..."
