15 Weak Hadeeth About the Qur'aan   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #101 of 162 |

As-Salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

It has been reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said:

"Whoever reads the Qur'aan and memorizes it by heart, affirming the permissibility of what it makes halaal, and prohibiting what it makes haraam, Allaah will enter him into Paradise and give him permission to intercede for ten of his family members who had deserved to go to the Hellfire."

Did you know that this hadeeth is dha’eef (unauthentic) and can not be attributed to the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam)?

Well, it is dha’eef according to the great scholar of hadeeth, Muhammad Naasirud-Deen Al-Albaanee. To help our fellow Muslims avoid passing on unauthentic narrations, we have translated a list of them from the book, Dha’eef At-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb. It is now available at bakkah.net:

15 Unauthentic Narrations About the Qur’aan

Of course there are more than 15 out there, but these are some of the more widespread narrations, so be aware of them!

May Allaah reward you.

Abul-‘Abbaas
