I just joined this group today, and just wanted to say hello to all
the existing members. I'm currently doing my MA in beh. analy at
Western Mich. under Dr. R. Wayne Fuqua. I also work for the
Association for Behavior Analysis as the Bookstore Coordinator-if
you were at the bookstore in the 2001 or 2002 conventions, selecting
and getting all those books there was my job.
I have recently discovered, thanks to a grad-level BA survey course,
my strong interest in sports psychology. Therefore, to say I'm just
getting my feet wet is an understatement...;) One questions I had
that I wanted some opinions on is that I am currently determining
where to do my doctorate, and was a little surprised that the APA
book of psych grad programs only has two listed for sports, neither
on the PhD level. Assuming this is correct, should I just get a
doctorate in a broad category like "social" or "applied" and pursue
sports research and take sports-related electives?
