Re: [B-fit] call for papers ABAI 2009

Elise:

I would be interested in doing a half-hour session on breathing, specifically teaching an "on-the-fly" aggressive hard-exhalation breathing strategy that lowers the heart rate for a brief period, with discussion of applications in sports and performance.  Would you want to collaborate with something or have it as a separate event?  Thanks.

Bob Stein

Subject: [B-fit] call for papers ABAI 2009

Hi everyone,
It was so great to see so many presentations last year that were devoted to using behavioral methods to increase health, expertise in sports, fitness.
I hope the numbers this year will be as big, if not bigger, than Chicago!
This is another reminder to please get your abstracts pulled together by Wednesday at midnight if you're planning on presenting at ABA in Phoenix.

Also, this is a call out to anyone who wants to teach a fitness class at ABA.  I've taught kickboxing for the last 3 years, and the attendees are always eagerly asking for more classes.
They are excited to get a good workout during such a sedentary weekend and would appreciate any other classes.  We've had classes for yoga, abs/core work, Pilates, and martial arts, to name a few.
Please let me know if you want to submit a Health, Sports, and Fitness presentation or class and want help putting it together.
See you in Phoenix!
Elise
