The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Sports Concussion Program is
seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellowship position. This is a
1-2 year position under the clinical direction of Michael W. Collins,
Ph.D. and Mark R. Lovell, Ph.D., ABPN. The UPMC Sports Medicine
Concussion Program is involved in concussion management at all levels of
sports participation, including professional, collegiate, high school,
and recreational. The volume of patient referrals is high and extensive
programmatic research is occurring within our program. Duties will
primarily consist of brief and extended neuropsychological evaluations
of child and adult athletes with sport-related concussion. In addition,
the clinic receives referrals for neuropsychological evaluations of
patients with non-sport TBI, as well as other neurological and
psychiatric disorders. Involvement in research is encouraged through
provision of dedicated research time on a weekly basis.
The appointment is a 12-month, full time position, beginning August 1st,
2008 with the possibility of a second year. A doctoral degree in
psychology, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and training in
neuropsychological assessment are required. Review of the applications
