Position Announcement Text:
The Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University invites
applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship for an individual
with expertise related to health behaviour change and a desire to work
with people who have a physical disability. This position will be of
interest to those with training in Exercise Psychology, Health
Psychology, Behavioural Medicine, Epidemiology, or other related
disciplines.
Candidates must have strong multivariate data analysis skills,
excellent written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated
excellence in research. The Fellow will be involved in CIHR- and
SSHRC-funded research focused on physical activity among people with
spinal cord injury. Responsibilities will include experimental design;
collection, analysis and interpretation of data; preparation of
scientific manuscripts for submission to journals and writing grant
applications.
The Fellow will also be involved in research knowledge mobilization. As
such, the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal
skills, an ability to work individually and in team environments, and a
desire to work directly with the spinal cord injury community.
Salary and benefits commensurate with CIHR guidelines.
