Call for Papers!

Journal of Clinical Sport Psychology (JCSP)

As can be seen in the attached "Call for Papers," Human Kinetics has
developed a new and exciting journal called the Journal of Clinical Sport
Psychology! As Editor-in-Chief of JCSP, I would like to announce an open
call for relevant professional manuscripts.

The Journal of Clinical Sport Psychology seeks to promote an understanding
of theory, technique, and empirical findings specifically related to the
integrated practice of clinical, counseling, and sport psychology, and
emphasizes the integration of empirical research and direct psychological
service delivery spanning a wide range of clients and settings. Please see
the attached "Call for Papers" for a detailed outline of the mission and
scope of the journal. The "Call for Papers" also lists which types of
manuscripts will be considered. To expand upon this, I would like to
mention which types of manuscripts will not be considered for publication.

JCSP will not include the following types of manuscripts (in brief):
. Manuscripts that do not directly address the intersection between
clinical, counseling, and sport issues
. Theory, practice, and empirical research on traditional psychological
skills training
. Theory/research in exercise promotion and exercise behavior, unless
specifically related to the development or presence of a psychological
disorder
. Theory/research related to motor learning and development

We anticipate that the inaugural issue will be released Spring 2007. If you
are interested in submitting a manuscript for blind peer review, please
submit 2 copies of the manuscript (an original manuscript and a blind
copy). Please remember to include author contact information. While we
anticipate having a web-based submission portal in the next couple of
months, please send current manuscripts to gardner@....
