Elise,
Thanks for your offer and suggestion. I propose the following:
1) Submit your proposal.
2) Call it "HSF Activity: Cardiokickboxing"
3) In your abstract/activity description, be sure to state this
activity is open to all ABA members and guests.
4) Indicate your preferred time (the ABA submission page should allow
you to do this, although there is no guarantee that you'll get the time
you ask for). Meeting times are available generally early morning and
evening. They also provide a space (on the submission page) to indicate
any probable conflicts. You could state "Other HSF Activities". If we
all use the "HSF activity" prefix, it will be easier for the program
committee to spot the conflicts, and for ABA members to spot the
activities in the program book.
5) Once you have submitted your preference, send an e-mail to
B-fit@yahoogroups.com and to me indicating the time you requested. In
this way, we might reduce the risk of double booking.
Please note that I have requested our HSF business meeting be Monday,
May 29, 2006 7:00pm - 7:50pm. (You can look at the notice I sent
yesterday evening about this; it shows all the fields that are completed
when submitting a meeting or event, which is what you'll do if you
submit your kickboxing workout).
If you have any questions with the process, please do not hesitate to
contact me. I encourage you to go ahead with this; its a great workout
idea.
Best,
Michael

Subject: RE: [B-fit] ABA conference activity/workout sessions
I am very interested in submitting a proposal: HSF Activity:
Cardiokickboxing
I have not submitted independently before... does anyone have any tips
that may be helpful? Perhaps those of us who want to run these activity
sessions should collaborate on our proposals so that the end products
look related in some way? It would be great if we could disperse these
activities one on each day... but I don't know how we could propose
that.
Please let me know any suggestions for submitting myself, or if I can
forward some info and it can be submitted together.
Thanks,
Elise
