Bob,
Great to hear from you. I'd love to see an activity session including "heavy breathing"; I might suggest we call any activity session an "HSF Activity Series:_____", with the blank naming the activity. This would require the interest, approval, and support of the membership, but would allow more visibility.
I'm imagining something like...
HSF Activity Series: Stretching & Breathing
HSF Activity Series: Tai Chi
HSF Activity Series: Karate
etc.
We would have to ask each contributor to voluntarily include the "HSF Series" designation in the title, and if done this way I imagine we should ensure each description ends with the tag statement: "ABA members are welcome to attend as many or as few of the series as desired. Each stands alone without prerequisite," or something to that effect. I don't currently have anything to offer along these lines, but am happy to open the topic for discussion.
I owe you folks a year-end report, and am sorry for the delay. I have updated financial information (our account statement), and the report submitted to ABA, but more pressing priorities have delayed my completion of an abstract for the HSF membership. Thank you all for your continued patience. I will get it out this summer.
Best to all,
Michael

Mike:
Missed you at this year's ABA (I missed the last two). There was nothing at all on sports/fitness. There was a nice Tai-Chi hour done though.
I am continuing my research on breathing for performance and plan to present in Atlanta on a molecular analysis of breath training. Would you want to put together an early morning exercise-type session that might include a few different things?
