Hi Christina:
I bought a pill shooter from Petsmart. It was
actually called "Pill Gun" by the manufacturer
Top Dog (I think). They actually had two different
kinds and I bought the one that had the clip at the
end of the shooter (to fasten the pill) and could be
filled up with a little water. I used to place the
contents of pills on his food which I'm sure tasted
awful and so when I was teaching him, I would ask him
if he wanted to have the contents of the pill placed
in his food or swallow a pill and he would say "swallow".
So then I used the pill shooter and didn't put the
contents in his food if he swallowed the pill. It only took two
days for him to learn how to swallow, so I think the key to teaching
the kids is for them to learn to place the pill far back in their
throat that it can be swallowed easily. That is a difficult task
for my son since he has a lot of oral sensitivity. Hope this
helps. Take Care, Becky

I guess if you had a cup of water handy, this might work. It is
similar to how we taught ethan how to swallow a pill. We put tiny
white homeopathic pills in the end of a straw and then had him open
wide and we blew the pill to the back of the tongue, and after a few
tries, he got the idea that he could swallow a pill.
I have also read that putting the pill UNDER the tongue and then
giving them the glass of water to drink can work because for some
reason, the mouth lets the pill out with the water and then the child
can swallow it down easily.

Got mine at PetSmart. It's actually for giving you animals their medication and
being able to keep your fingers. Cost $5.99

Hi Karyn:
Were you the person who originally suggested the Pill Shooter??
Thank you so much for that suggestion. It has made it so much
easier to give our 9 year old son any supplement, especially since I
can put whatever I want to give him (at any dose) in a veggie cap.
Great suggestion!!! Thank you-Thank you-Thank you!! Becky
Your welcome. It has done the same for us. She was 2 at the time we started it
and hadn't eaten/drank in 4 days. I was running out of options. I'm glad this
has worked for you, I actually felt bad because it does sound 'brutal', but it
was the last resort. It's good for travel too. When we travel on weekends or
camp/hike, it's nothing to put her caps in a pillcase and stick the shooter in
there. Easier than ten thousand bottles - for me anyways!!!

No.
See www.dmpsbackfire.com
Besides the test is totally useless diagnostically. It is just a scam
ot convince you of what the doc already has decided but doesn't think
you will believe unless he does some play acting to make it seem
scientific.
