Mercury Compound Found In Fish Damages Pancreatic Cells

   {For those who critcised me for linking mercury poisoning with diabetes.

this to the many other reasons being attributed to the epidemic

   Researchers in Taiwan say they have established for the first time that the
mercury compound present as a contaminant in some seafood can damage
insulin-producing cells in the pancreas.

   In their experiments, Shing-Hwa Liu and colleagues exposed cell cultures of
insulin-producing beta cells to methylmercury. They used concentrations of
methylmercury at about the same levels as people would consume in fish under the
U. S. Food and Drug Administration's recommended limits.

   Previous studies have shown that methylmercury is toxic to various cells. Liu
and colleagues now have added pancreatic beta cells to that list.

   "Altogether, our data clearly indicate that methylmercury-induced oxidative
stress causes pancreatic beta-cell apoptosis (programmed cell death) and
dysfunction," they said in a report scheduled for the Aug. 21 issue of the ACS
journal, Chemical Research in Toxicology.

   Liu added in an interview: "Although there was lack of a firm clinical basis,
some cellular and animal studies implied that methylmercury may have [the]
ability to injury the pancreatic beta cells. The present study supplied the
direct evidence of basic research that methylmercury-induced oxidative stress
causes pancreatic beta cell apoptosis and dysfunction. Further research is
needed on whether methylmercury exposure increases the risk of diabetes in
humans."

You say that Sam can only tolerate so many drops of NCD, I think you said  6?

What symptoms does Sam get when you go over this dose?

Will you leave him at this dosage indefinately, or try to increase it in  the
future?

Do you think it's doing anything for his viral load?

supposed to be easier on the gut and prevent gut bugs like yeast, etc.
However, in your situation I would seriously consider oral.

Any thoughts on transdermal versus oral chelators? My DAN wants us to
use TD-DMSA but I would rather try oral DMSA first... I have several
fillings and am breastfeeding my ASD ds, so I'm totally freaked by the
possibility of accidentally chelating myself due to unintentional
contact with the transdermal cream. I've heard of people reacting
even when using the gloves-and-glass approach, and in my case with the
breastfeeding it might dump metals right back into him! My hubby is
gone too much of the time, I can't rely on having anyone else
available to rub in the cream. Any thoughts/experiences/research to
share?

Hi all,
I'm trying to compound my own ala/dmps capsules and wondering what
choice of fillers I can use.

I know (the acid form of) vitamin C is often used, but its very rough
on the digestive system.

I'm just wondering if there is anything more gentle??

Some possibles: Amino acids? (if so which ones), Selenium?, Milk thistle?

Any advice/ideas?

(philisophical, religious, etc.).  it is a personal decision, of course.  my son
was affected by vaccs.

I am one of the new members. I didn't read all the replies to this
thread, sorry if I repeat anyone. I went with the religious exempt.
Here in Indiana you don't even have to go to the church to have it
signed. I don't know the rules for Mississippi though. I tried the
medical exempt, and have "not gotten" very good results, I got tired
of the doctor's passing the buck. (They gave me the big run around.)
I don't have time for that, nor patients for their inconsideration.
I have the website for religious exempts for the US, I will get the
link and send it in.

A little about myself.

I am member of ASA ( Autism Society of America ) I am a board member
of ASI ( Autism Society of Indiana ) I also am facilitator for
Columbus Indiana Autism Support group. I am a chapter leader. I just
started a face to face Autism Support group here in Greensburg
Indiana.

I know vaccines are damaging our children! I agree with Pam ("Stand
your Ground") don't let them "bully you" into getting your child
vaccinated. Don't let the school, or doctors "guilt you" into it
either!

"You as a parent have rights" to what goes into your child's body.
You also have right about your child's education programs too.

I have read in archive where Andy said a timed released ALA would be
fine...I have also read where he says otherwise...

I believe the TD form was the kind he seemed happer with, but never
100% convinced it worked?. You can read under the files section or

I am not sure what brand is effective or if any are, but I know they

What does it mean when one says " my child is  viral"?
Does it mean they have a viral in them, and can't detox  many common virals?
I never understood this.
I am asking this because my son 6 Year old, just completed his  first real
sickness. He had a fever for a couple of days and it is still around  99 today
(day three)
It reached 104 briefly yesterday and when I checked it a few  minutes later
with plans to bring him to the ER, it dropped to 103 and he  started to drink
and even had hunger and walked from one room to another. At  this point, I
decided not to bring him to the ER as that raise of temp seemed to  drop pretty
quickly.
I am hoping that this is a long over due viral situation  that is cleaning
his system out. We did just complete a seven day run of  OXYHEALTH. He was given
half a pill daily for a week. Could this have brought  out the virus?
He still does not have great thirst which is making him a bit  stimmy right
now.
Would love some feedback.
Hoping to see some new gains as a result of all of  this.

Tell them you are a Christian Scientist. They do not do vaccines, and that would
qualify you for the religious exemption. Although legally they are not allowed
to ask you beyond you signing the wavier on the back of the form. They do try,

I was not vaccinated as a child due to family being Christian Scientists. I had
to get vaccines on my own in one day in the worst time in history as an adult
(1997) and then give them to my son. : (

The good news is I am alive, as well as my son, and God is carrying us through
this whole mess. Well God and Andy. : )

The vaccines for me were on top of 14 amalgams for over 30 years, 4 Rhogam
shots, multiple flu shots, sushi/tunafish, and saline contact lense solution for
at least 20 years.

Being viral means that a person/child has viruses in their body that
are dormant or low grade and never fully fought off by the immune
system. As an example the hsv2 viruses causes skin warts and
plantars warts. Many people get this virus as a kid and within a
year it is gone as are the warts. They never have warts again.

catch for colds and such. Viral is not related to the ability to
detox, it is due to immune function problems. The immune system can
be damaged due to vaccination or have low function due to metal
exposures...or both. Thus when they catch something it just lingers.
I know reading Dr. McCandless's book "Starving Brains" really helped
me understand some of that.

It seems likely that if you are trying to treat him for viruses,
that is what happend. It does sound like he is getting through this
one. I know that some people use virastop to help or immune boosters
to help the body fight the viruses when using a virus protocol.
Others here can advise better on virus protocols.

Go with oral.
Moving metals even with td is going to pull some through the gut to
excrete them and this will make yeast problems. The same thing
happens no matter how the chelator gets in. But in your
circumstances..you really don't want that stuff getting on your skin
or the sheets/couches etc that you might come in contact with.

I know one child who was givin IVIG, which is for the immune system
and is not a chelator.  He is recovered now, primarily because of the
IVIG.

In correspondence with that child's mother [who I know personally, not
just on message boards], I asked her if her child had been chelated.
She said no, that after the IVIG, the child's test results indicated
his body was eliminating metals.  According to her doctor, once his
immune system was healed by the IVIG, his body became able to clear
the metals on its own.

So, just because test results reveal metals being cleared, does not
mean the intervention is a chelator.  Definitely a good thing to clear
metals!  But not always a chelator is required.  Depends on the child.

GSE, but at least 2 hours away from probiotics for best results.

OLE is anti-viral and anti-bacteria.  It has never addressed yeast for
my kids, but viral "die off" can cause yeast, which was a good thing
for my kids because it meant that the viruses were leaving.

I chelated all four of my kids with ALA.  In my opinion, if you use
ALA, it would probably be a good thing.  Just watch for yeast
overgrowth and mineral deficiency.

Both of those helped my kids with constipation issues.  Try starting
