Joy- I think that people react differently to different chelating agents. And,
some people cannot tolerate chlorella. I have been using PCA-rx for about 6
months with no adverse effects. Also, i used it on my sons before starting DMPS
- again, with no adverse effects. I did a fecal toxics analysis on one of my
sons while on PCA-rx and he was pulling a lot of metals. We still decided to
use DMPS, though, because it is a better chelator of mercury, according to our
DAN. I still use the PCA-rx, though, because I have amalgams.

Inga,

I need to know what happened to you with this product. I cannot risk any
more setbacks/regressions for my daughter, she has been through quite enough
with ALA. Did you excrete any metal? What dose were you taking?

Thanks,
Joy

it's really hard for me to limit it to two fruits a day like the doc

Rima,

I have been giving him adrenal cortex. I also have ordered DGL
licorice to try. I'm still not sure if the DGL form will work, but
I'm not comfortable using the straight licorice extract. Steve, the
guy from Australia knows quite abit about adrenal stuff. I haven't
been giving this too long. Wish I could be more helpful. Rae

My son had his first hair DDI hair test done when we took him to
Pfeiffer. He was about a week shy of his 7th birthday at that time.
He was not on any nutrients and had not been chelated. When he was
12 years and two months old, I did a second DDI hair test. At that
time, we had completed 69 rounds of DMSA/ALA, Andy's protocol, over a
period of 2 years and three months. I have Andy's book, but I'm
confused as to why after all this chelation, his toxic metals and
total toxic representation is higher than it was before we did
anything at all. He is ADHD, ODD. We live in a 5 year old house and
he goes to a new school building and I try to watch exposures. I
don't know what to think. I'm planning to go to 100 rounds. Do you
think there's a very good chance that will be enough? I really
appreciate all your help. By the way, we have seen improvement. I'm
posting both tests. Thanks Rae

Scripting is usually using movie lines or other peoples phrases
either in context or out of context in language.

What you descibe sounds more like echolalia. A child can echo a
word or phrase over and over again whether they heard it elsewhere
or just are obsessed with saying it.

Glad you had a good experience. My son is also ADD (inattentive) with APD
and sensory issues. Unfortunately, we did the Sensory Learning also last
summer and had absolutely no gains whatsover. It was a lot of money for zip
results.

Congratulations nonetheless on your son's improvements. We're all happy
when any of our kids do well and make progress--even if the therapy was a bust
for any one of us. No two kids necessarily respond the same to any
intervention.

Hi everyone, I have a son with ADHD, sensory issues and OCD. We've
tried different things with him the one thing that worked best was
sensory integration, we went to The Sensory Learning Center in
Vancouver (www.sensorylearning-vancouver.com) . It was awesome! Anyway
I look forward to meeting everyone and coming up with more solutions

Just FYI I think the learning centers are across the US, I just love
sharing when I find something that really works! I hope you all do the
same :o)

Sea salt is actually good for you.. tibetian sea salt is an excellent choice
(it is pink) any unprocessed pure sea salt is good. .it has the same
chemical make up of blood. He is probably craving REAL SALT. Not processed
salt., which has no nutritional value. Try giving him the sea salt, if he
gets what he needs he will perhaps crave it less. Also he may be overly
acid.. he may need to have his ph adjusted.. salty foods like olives, etc
are very alkaline which is good for you. A acid environment supports all
sorts of dis-eased conditions.. with a balanced ph.. health can occur.

Anyway.

The processed white salt (morton's etc) is POISON..

Stop using it../

Don't worry about the iodine.. you can get it in the natural sea salt or if
you need more eat some seaweed once in a while or take a supplement every
so often

It is a better choice than the processed salt.

You can use the processed salt to clean a metal sink or other around the
house tasks.. it is not suitable to be consumed.

The willis group on yahoo has lot of info about ph etc..

The Weston a price foundation has info on health and how artificial /
process foods is making us all sick. It advocated a simple diet based on
how people ate a hundred plus years ago.

Tara

Mary,

Andy says this indicates adrenal problems. My son likes to "ruin"
his food with salt. We are trying to work on adrenal problems
indicated by his hair test.

I'm having the same experience now that I'm back to chelating myself.
Charcoal an hour after the GSE helps too.

Mary,

Andy says this indicates adrenal problems. My son likes to "ruin"
his food with salt. We are trying to work on adrenal problems
indicated by his hair test.

There is small homeopathic amount of LA in the pca –rx there is also a small
amount of LA in nac.. a competitor of pca .. both are clathration agents
and they use nanoized cholera to do the clathration.

You can call the companies up to verify this as I may not be 100% right on.
Also it is la.. not ala.. they are similar but not completely the same.

I think they both contain significantly less than 1mg of la in the entire
bottle. Anyway.

With clathration, according to dr usman who we see, redistribution is
impossible since it surrounds or casts a net around the metal and takes it
out of the body, vs with chelation there is only one bond that can be broken
if the right situation occurs.

Ala only will mobilize metals.. It cannot remove it from the body by itself.

Email me off list if you want info as I have a of good info on why to avoid
ala, and use other natural detox methods.. this has really been helping my
son who is starting to talk and play for the first time since he lost speech
at 18 mos.. he is now 5 ½ .. good luck

I think there IS a mercury free version of Tetanus designed for an
older child (7 and up). I think it is called Decavac. It might be
one of those that contains 'trace amounts' of Thimerosal from the
manufacturing process. Aventis Pasteur is the maker.

Purely from memory, here. I looked this up a while ago for a friend
of mine.

Basically, I did not notice anything really, but when I tried to
remove the OLE, my son had major regression. So I continued, but
every month or so, I would try to reduce the dose, and my son would
regress. At about the 10th month or so, he started getting a rash,
which had been described on another message board with anti-viral use,
so I continued. At the end of the rash, I kept the OLE for a few more
weeks, gradually reducing the dose. This time, no regression.

It could be the DMPS. But also consider that if it is the DMPS, then
it could be yeast, because chelation generally tends to aggravate
yeast. I get massive headaches when I have yeast in my head. I use
GSE to eliminate them. So basically, try something to eliminate
yeast, see if that helps.

Thank you f or all you have shared it touched me in a personal way.
Reminds me of the message that has been with me since my wife had
shared on a mother's day.
It was an Honor to see my wife picked from all the mothers of our
Church to share her story.
Also met me where I was at and spoke to my spirit.

Not just a mother's day message.

She had given her testimony of a mother's perspective in how God
had
taken her through many trials and circumstance and how it has
effected her to grow in personal Faith.

She goes on to say that each of the 3 children's lives had always
represented a special meaning.
Of being touched from our

  #1 -heart
  #2- Inspiration
#3 - Hope

I broke down because she was right from all three descriptions in how
their lives touched me as well.

An of course my little Guy has always been considered our "
Hope" and
always will be.

And ya know what….
Because of his life, he has also touched many lives and given them
" Hope" too.

Please do not loose this" Hope" BC it will take you as far
as you allow it to.

Btw sorry to ramble on but 3 days ago my wife had sent me an e -card,
but I didn't get a chance to read t until this morning.
We have been going through some rough times together lately. Of
course many of which my little guy is always woven into it.
However the story always has a purpose and it is to re kindle
that "Hope" and move on

My wife always shares the message of `Hope" in the time of
need here this is what she sent me.

My daughter has SID, she is 10 and I look at what we have been through

believe me it is absolutely more than I feel that I can bear at times.)

I am just absolutely heartbroken for all of you who suffer so
completely each and everyday. Knowing that God's heart breaks for you
too, I am praying that He would bring comfort and healing to your
children and to you. I am believing for a completely safe and
effective way of chelating to come to light soon.

I asked and was given permission to forward this post about bruxism.

Rebecca

do u want the long story or short story ? ;o) As Willis will atest, this
was one of my son's bugbears from the time he began having teeth till
approx Dec/Jan 05 .... he is now 6yrs old in Sept.

i must have tried just about everything .... in the end from much
     process and elimination ... i found high dose Vit-B5 (250mg)+ Vit-E to
do the trick ... which made sense as my son had adrenal exhaustion /
stress ... B5 is good for that ...

i tried inositol, magnesium, calcium etc but until i included B5 and E
... then it disappeared ... our ENT at the time when we were having
tubes inserted told us "don't worry about it mate, it'll go as he gets
older" ..... mmm ... a worry ... i said "i hope it goes before he loses
his teeth" ... he said " don't worry mate ... this is mother nature ...
bruxism's purpose is to loosen the first set of teeth to allow for next
set ... after this bruxism goes" ... so go figure ...

also "some say" that bruxism is a sign of heavy metal poisoning .... but
i think this maybe and old grandma's tale ....

     -----------------------------------------------

anyway below are my notes collected and you can read more on google

According to Ploceniak, prolonged magnesium administration nearly always
provides a cure for bruxism. This confirms an earlier report which
claimed remarkable reductions and sometimes disappearance in the
frequency and duration of grinding episodes in six patients who took
assorted vitamins and minerals (which included 100mg of magnesium) for
at least five weeks. When the supplement intake stopped, the symptoms
returned. [Bruxism and Magnesium, My Clinical Experiences Since 1980, by
     C. Ploceniak (Translated from the French by James Michels)]

Calcium Requirement Cheraskin & Ringsdorf (1970) studied the effects of
nutritional supplements on teeth grinders or clenchers. Of these, 16
took calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid),
iodine, and vitamin E. When surveyed a year later, they reported that
bruxism vanished. In contrast, the 15 bruxers who only took vitamins A,
C, E and iodine showed no improvement. It seemed reasonable to conclude
that the active agents were calcium and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5).

People who clench and/or grind their teeth in their sleep can reduce
this by taking up to 8 drops of Lugol's (potassium iodide) daily or
     periodically.

     Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid),Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),See the
     link between Bruxism and Magnesium.

     Test for Food Allergies,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),Teeth
grinding may be aggravated by certain foods in some individuals.

     Stress Management,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),Treatment may
include stress reduction and creating a positive home environment.
Psychological stress is considered a significant cause.

     Magnesium,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),"Until further research is
done, the best strategy may involve taking the following on a daily
basis: magnesium, calcium and pantothenic acid. If bruxism subsides, it
is advisable to continue taking these supplements, but perhaps at a
lower dosage. If no improvement is observed after 2 months, another
     approach should be tried."

     Iodine,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),People who clench and/or grind
their teeth in their sleep can reduce this by taking up to 8 drops of
Lugol's (potassium iodide) daily or periodically.

     Dental Appliance,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),A dental appliance
can protect the teeth from harm in cases of bruxism at night.

     Counseling,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),"Bruxism is sometimes due
to strong emotions such as resentment, frustration, anger, grief, or
fear, and can result from a dysfunctional family situation."

Conventional Drug Use,Muscle Cramps / Twitching,"Doctors may feel they
have to resort to drugs like Sinequin (Doxepin) or Klonopin
(Klonazepam). Sinequin is a tricyclic anti-depressant and anti-histamine
that can produce marked sedation. This medication may enhance the effect
of Klonopin, but it can reduce muscle twitching all by itself. Klonopin
is an anti-anxiety medication and anti-convulsive/anti-spasmodic. It is
useful in dealing with muscle twitching, restless leg syndrome, and
night-time grinding of the teeth (bruxism)."

     Calcium,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),See the link between Bruxism
     and Magnesium.

     Biofeedback,Bruxism (Clenching/Grinding Teeth),Studies support the
conclusion that heavy bruxers have reduced frequency of clenching early
     on with biofeedback treatments.

I am sure this subject has been discussed before so hope you can help.

I seem to remember that teeth grinding is caused by a lack of something
     i.e. a mineral/vitamin. Can anyone advise?

I have had good success with swishing a teaspoon or tablespoon of
plain yogurt or kefir in my mouth after brushing. I used to use
peroxide but it became difficult. Really helps with yeast during and

Hi Jane:

Take some time and research and read all your options. I thought you were
chelating with Dr. Tenpenny. Welcome, again, read the FAQ files in the A-M
files. Ask lots of questions.

Good luck,
Rebecca

Hmm, I will definitely need to look into that. Thank you so much for making me
aware of it.

Dr usman who we see says it is safe and she has never known of anyone to

You should also think about supplementing..

Zinc acetate, magnesium chloride and selenium yeast are always good for
   those with metal problems.

Is that without a perscription (the pca-rx)? I have seen it advertised and
have asked questions about it before.
   Might be worth a try.

It has helped my son and it is gentle, etc.

Also cilantro every day. .for 20 -60 days can really clean up the system
without chemicals, etc. and it is easy and cheap. About 1/3 to ½ or more a
   cup a day.

I'm sorry. I posted it wrong. I DO want to chelate myself at a later point.
I think it was some where in the A-M files that I read something about
neither parent nor child should have any amalgams when chelating the child,
but then again, lately I have been reading so much that lord only knows
   where I read it.
Sorry about the confusion and thank you for your reply.

See, here's my problem. I have a mouth loaded with mercury fillings (I think
   I
only have 6 teeth without the nasty stuff in them). It would take me forever
   to
get them out; not to mention the cost since my dental insurance won't cover
   it.
I understand the redistribution thing with chelation, but my son does not
   have
any fillings and it is him I want to chelate. Wouldn't I be able to go ahead
   and
   chelate him?

   (before

want to replace them with composits - I have 2 small amalgams and not deep.

Since getting my son in order with chelation, I was at the dentist this week

and I told Dr. T that I wanted them removed so that I could start chelating
myself - next month they go :)

Hi Jackie, can you point to any studies or research on this theory?
