DMSA question!   Message List

Re: [Autism-Mercury] Re: DMSA question!

I think that VRP is fine. I think a few people use this brand.
Give 8-36mg per dose every 4 hours. I would suggest that
you start in the lower range and see how it goes using less.
My son is 4.5 and weighs 39 lbs. I divide the 100mg cap into
eight doses of 12.5mg. This seems to be fine for him.
I open the 100 mg capsule and divide it onto 4 pieces of
paper folded in half (small). I then pour the contents of
one of the papers into an empty capsule and then get another
empty capsule and put half of the first in there. You can buy
empty caps or you can save some from other supplements
that you might open up. I try to save the larger ones since
it is hard to get the powder back into the smaller ones...
Some kids (like mine) react to all those syrups, etc that
are used . I just mix the contents of the cap (12.5mg)
with honey, water and a few probiotics to make a paste.
At night, I just mix with a drop of honey and about 1/2
teaspoon of water and administer via a plastic syringe.
