I found that by mixing a small amount of fruit (like applesauce) with enough
water to have it easily go in a syringe makes it so that when squirted into my
son's mouth he naturally swallows it. The key seems to be to keep the amount
(for him) under 3ml. Anymore and he tends to spit some out or worse, choke.

I have successfully employed this method too. I dissolve 25 mg of DMSA and 25 mg of ALA in a small amount of juice (2-3 ml) in a urine specimen jar by shaking...
