Re: [Autism-Mercury] Re: swallowing capsules (Don't laugh!)

Now it make sense! I could never figure out why my daughter Jen ( 11 1/2
years old) take 32 pill and capsules every morning without any problems and
everyone is having problems. I have been raising Collie Dogs every since I
was a kid. Dum me!!! That is how I taugh Jen to take capsules. I though
everyone taught their kids that way! Well, I can tell for a fact it works.
Usually I rub the neck of the dog or child when I am first training just
under the chin ... up and down movement. I have no idea if this is
important, but it seems to make it easier for them, that it take their mind
off the capsules.
Take Care and God Bless,
Beverly Weakley

Cindy,
This post had me cracking up, as this is what we did all weekend, thanks to
Lorilyn's post on this list. For all of you out there who want your child to
swallow a pill, this works without a doubt! We tried it on the spoon,
holding
the nose, etc. nothing worked. This however, worked. We coated it up with
coconut butter, put it way back on his tongue, (that's the hard part) and
down it went, I could not believe it. Thanks so much for everyone's
ideas,you
are such a clever, resourceful bunch! Val

To train a child to take capsules, get instruction from a vet for giving pills to a cat or dog. Same technique, same training method and very effective....

I always have a drink ready anyway, as I don't think pills should sit in a stomach without fluid. Just give it sooner if he looks a little bug-eyed! Lorilyn ...
