In the past I filed a couple of VAERS reports on adverse reactions for son
with autism. Today I received a letter from the FDA today asking me to
participate in a confidential telephone survey (approximately 30 mins.) of
people who reported autism or other DD's following vaccination, in an effort
to better understand any possible relationship between adverse events and
vaccination. They will ask about child's symptoms, vaccination history,
medical & family history, and other questions about vaccinations. The
letter says they need as many parents as possible to participate to make
this study successful. For questions about the survey, contact Ms. Vickery
at 866-834-4680. For questions about your rights as a study participant,
contact Dr. Margaret Pennybacker at 877-810-9530 (both toll-free numbers).
Hubby doesn't think we should participate yet. He's concerned should we
ever file a lawsuit information I provide to this survey may somehow be used
against us. This crossed my mind, but I wish to participate to increase the
number of parents participating so the study will be successful. Any
thoughts? Thanks. Wanda Brown
