Re: [Autism-Mercury] Bad constipation on round

My guess would be something you change, intolerance to it. For us, my son was
never constipated either, it was his probiotics. I hate to say, I'd stop
everything and add each one slow to figure out what supplement is not agreeing
with him. JMO.

Subject: [Autism-Mercury] Bad constipation on round

Our son was experiencing really bad constipation in the last day or two,
before our round started. He went, but very little. Now on round, not at all. We
are giving a few thousand mg of C a day, and about 400 - 600 mg of mag now. We
want to give more mag, but only have a buffered form on hand of mag glycinate
from Kirkman. Also, when we went higher with the mag today, he became lethargic
and complained of being tired all the time. We gave him lots of organic gfcf
fiber yesterday and today, lots of aloe juice. No movement at all. We changed
his multi and supp regimen a week ago and we suspect that coupled possibly with
a resurgence of some yeast has ground everything to a halt. We are giving
antifungals too.

Our son has never been this constipated ever, where he has not gone for a
couple of days. Since we went gfcf/sf his bowels have always been loose, if
anything. Wondering, is it ok to continue the round if nothing is coming out? Is
there a danger? Also, a friend has suggested going higher with mag, and failing
that working trying a laxative. I think this is sound advice. Can I continue to
chelate and do the laxative this evening, and hope for movement? We are two days
into the round.

Has anyone encountered this before, and if so how have you dealt with it? I
have read a lot about oxy powder here, but I would have to order it online and
it would not get here for several days, so that is not an answer. Just concerned
about chelating under these circumstances.

Irene
