Mycoplasma penumoniae IgM?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #260018 of 271524 |
Can anyone tell me what this is exactly and how one treats it?

My DD's viral panel came back with elevated (positive) presence of this along
with another viral (no surprise).

She's had a cold/cough for over three weeks now and as usual doctors who have
examined her tell me "it's nothing" or "probably allergies". Now that I see the
results, I'm thinking that she's got this in her lungs.

I am seeing the DAN in 10 days, is it wise to wait that long to get a treatment
going?

What antivirals are effective for treating this, if any?

Thanks for any input.

Monique
