I have a question about chelating an older autistic child. I mean by older--7 years old. How long is it expected to take or is this impossible to predict. I read on a site that Dr. Holmes did not have any older patients done yet...but complete recovery of some 1-2 year olds.... It looked like the beginning results she was getting from kids in my son's age group were not that impressive. Are any of you close to being done with chelating a 7 yr. old? Does this process go on for years with no end in site? What about the kids in Turning Lead to Gold...??? How old were they? Did they completely recover from autism? To me this is what it is all about. My child does not show any symptoms of feeling bad, so I am most interested in getting rid of the autistic symptoms of mercury poisoning. Will hair and blood tests show if this is a good direction or needed direction to go? It sounds like they don't necessarily show anything??? Do they? What are the best ones to start with??? ANd with who? Have any of you adults who have removed silver fillings felt much better??

Truly, I have an answer to the last part of your questions. I had 16 amalgams (silver fillings) removed and I for one can say Yes, I certainly do feel better....

Truely, No, chelation does not go on forever. The estimated time FOR TOXIC ADULTS is 6 months to 2 years. I think that is Andy's estimate-- not sure. You...

... Yup. That's my estimate. It depends on how toxic you are. That also assumes you chelate assidiously the whole time, which a lot of people don't do...
