First ddi hair test was last march. It was one of the first
diagnostic tests we did before starting any kind of diet or other
interventions.
It came back with above avg levels for lead, aluminum, and arsenic
only. Essential elements were low and scattered but just borderline
using the counting rules. She did display enough symptoms of mercury
toxicity that i did believe that mercury was a problem.
Since the first test we have gone on a low-phenol diet and
supplemented with brainchild minerals (but were not that
consistent). In the fall we started Homeopathy. She gradually --
very gradually -- started to get better after that. Last month i saw
some great improvements. She was communicating well, less stimming,
sleeping thru the night. Bedwetting gone. excema 90% better. I
ordered another hair test during that month to see if the
homeopathic remedy was truly allowing her body to clean itself out.
Results of this second test showed elevated (in yellow) levels for
many new metals: Antimony, Arsenic, Bismuth, Cadmium, Lead, Tin,
Uranium, and -- sure enough -- Mercury. From my understanding this
increase in toxic elements is either due to greater environmental
exposure or chelation. I tend to think it's the latter since it
corresponds to a period of improvement in her health.
What i have a problem understanding is the results of her essential
elements. The second test shows almost *exactly* the same pattern as
the first test. The only difference is that all the bars shifted
further to the left, including red levels for Zinc when before she
was okay for Zinc.
If the mercury is truly leaving her body, wouldn't absorption levels
of minerals be better? What could account for the low levels of
essential minerals?
