Austin Help is a non-profit support group providing information and emotional support for individuals with the herpes virus. We are the local chapter of the Herpes Resource Center, a program service of the American Social Health Association (ASHA). We are not medical or legal professionals; we are a member led support/social group.

Membership to Austin HELP must be approved. Once you request to join, you will be sent an email from the group moderator providing you with our terms of membership in a PDF attachment (be sure to check your SPAM folder). Open the PDF document and reply as requested to begin the approval process. We take our members privacy and safety seriously.

Austin Help hosts a monthly meeting the first Tuesday of every month. At the meeting we have access to a variety of publications and share information during our open discussions. All meetings are confidential and only those who have a diagnosis of HSV (significant others are approved for attendance) will be at the meeting. After the meeting we all head out to have dinner. It is a great way to get to know the other members on a more personal level.

When joining the group, we recommend that you not use your last name in your Yahoo ID or in your Yahoo account information. Online caution is always wise.
