Splenda does not interfere with the blood sugar levels. I have not
heard of Altern so I googled it. It is basically a generic Splenda.

Based on what this article says, Altern is identical to Splenda and
can be substituted. I am going to check it out next time I'm in WM,
as Splenda can be expensive!
