Hi, EbonyAngel,
I have my surgery 6/26 and I start my liquid diet tomorrow morning. I am not sure how it will go, but I do know it will be hard and it will be temporary! I have to keep thinking that way. I have been freaking out a little, too, about the surgery. I thought by this point and all that I went through to get to this point I would only feel excitement and be ecstatic, but I am mostly scared. But, I hope this is what I am supposed to do and I will proceed as if that is true.
I have gained about 10 pounds recently, too, because of these feelings, but I got a bad cold three days ago and haven't felt much like eating. I joked with my husband that on the days before my liquid fast I should be living it up food-wise, but I am stuck here at home drinking soup (thus basically starting my pre-op diet early)! Oh well! Such is life.
Best of luck to you and please keep us posted!

Well everyone, I'm counting down my last week before surgery. I had an
enormous food funeral that lasted a month and a half. I was doing well
but I freaked and got soo terrified. Anyway last Monday I started my
own liquid diet. Which turned into mostly liquid and one meal a day.
Reason? I gained 11 pounds since my last weigh in a month and a half
ago. So I contacted my nutritionist and asked her what I should do. She
said to do four protein shakes a day and 10-15 minutes of exercise a
day. So thats where I am today. Trying to go through my last minute
checklist to see if I have everything in order. So I restart preop as
471. Hopefully will get back down to 460 for surgery and take off from
there. Anyone else having surgery soon? Lets talk!
