Re: Carbs - Question and vent.... long (sorry!)

Carbs can be good carbs can be bad depends on the
person and depends on the carbs.....As someone a year
out( ex super morbidly obese at 371) i can tell you
that you do indeed have to watch your carbs once you
start eating solids again because carbs are easy to
eat and u can easily eat way too many even with that
tiny stomach. I can process sugar better than i can
eat breads or wheat carbs....that is how my body
works. Slow losers especially have to watch their carb
intake...slow metabolisms are not carb efficient. Just
the way it is. If you say walk 5 miles a day then u
can eat more carbs but if u arent exercising then in
order to lose weight you have to cut your carbs down
and only eat them in the early part of the day. After
the " Honeymoon" period is over its really important
to watch and pay attention to your body and what it
likes what it doesnt....U can get way stuck in a stall
if you dont watch it and I am here to tell ya all
about it LOL!!!

VSG is not a magic cure for obesity it is a diet...a
lifetime diet....one that you can do because u arent
starving and because a small amount of food will go
far...but beware....u can gain weight with VSG....and
quickly. U have to follow the rules to be successful
but its up to you what u put in your body. I dont
think any of us stop struggling with our food
obsessions completely but u cant for sure eat a tray
of brownies in a sitting. If you have gone to all the
trouble and expense of getting a VSG then of course u
are going to be more aware of what you put in....once
u have gotten to your goal weight u have the luxury of
eating more carbs but until them yes u do have to
limit them .
