Nutritional approach to Asperger's? Eating for mental stability? Ra   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #278 of 354 |
http://www.mentalhealthproject.com/...id_Content=1365 offers a
few ideas on how to increase stability by curbing use of some
foods that are recognized as being problematical for good
health, good thinking. What do you think about modifying moods
by avoiding certain foods? Works for me, when I take the
time/trouble to manage what foods my hands feed to me!

http://www.mentalhealthproject.com/...id_Content=1346 explores
the impact of eating healthy foods instead of using drugs to
medicate symptoms that may vanish in a person who avoids
wheat/sugar and other white foods. Makes a real difference in
my outlook and mood, when I focus on eating UNprocessed
foods and avoid eating the white foods that I'm drawn to as a
drug of choice. Yes, I regard food as a mood-altering substance.
For me, that's what it is. Comfort food is mostly white food. Ugh!

Anyone else experiment with food to see what a difference it can
make? Why do we revert, when eating healthy food makes us
feel so remarkably 'normal' and healthy? Danged if I know! -Zer
