Derailing might be as simple as a recent train collision we had
in SoCal, where a fragile passenger car on a train that had no
heavy engine at its forward point (see the parallel coming?) hit a
barrier (a car was parked on the tracks) and shattered. There is
some speculation that if the heavy engine had been the forward
point of that train, traveling at speeds up to 70mph, the train may
not have derailed and collided with a 2d train traveling opposite
on nearby tracks. Many deaths might have been avoided, if the
train that hit the obstacle had been led by a heavy engine, built to
withstand collision and less likely to bounce off its rails.
It may be that we too will not derail if we are prepared with SKILL
that can be learned as we become wiser in living Aspie. Lots of
the SKILLS involved in being functional are just steps we can
identify and to accomplish one by one. It's a process. It's not a
gift. A process is a series of steps that can be learned. -Zer

that this is a SKILL that can be learned.... -Zer (who now has a
new term to use for being so scattered <g> in interests that few
goals last long enough to become achievements! Yay for
perseveration!)

and follow up on a decision. Those of us who lack it have piles of
stuff all over that never get sorted out. It is typical of ADD and
common among Aspies.... < < <
