i have also 6mm kidney stones in both kidneys.

                         thanks.

Dear Member,

What you are describing could be due to Renal Colic resulting from the kidney
stones.
You need some painkillers which you can get over the counter to take then pain
away.
The stone is quite small,so you can try dissolution therapy by drinking lots of
water and Potassium Citrate mixture.
If the pain persist, you need to be referred to a Urologist for further
treatment.

what method do u recommend for me.To have all my foreskin cut or have a

Salaam Pradeep,

What you are suffering is called Balanitis-ie. inflammation of the pee and
foresking. This is an indication for circumcision.
As far I as I know there is no scientific study that has demonstrated that
circumcision reduces sexual pleasure.Sexual pleasure is a very subjective thing
anyway.
In fact there are many scientific studies that have shown the positive health
benefits of circumcision especially in reducing the transmission of sexually
transmitted diseases eg.HIV,HPV and HSV viruses, some of which are precursors to
cervical cancers. I have also made a mention in my blog at

hello,
my sugar level is 5.7, this is what the doctor said I am wonderign whether that
is high, at what level is it diabetic. should I watch for what I am eating! how
much suger should I consume daily?

Dear Gassan,

This level is ok.

If the blood sugar is taken after you ahve been fasting for
sometimes(>8hrs),then as long as it is below 6, you are ok

If the blood sugar level is taken within 2 hours of your last meal, then as long
as it is less than 11,you are ok

Let say, your level above are abnormal, then you will have to undergo a special
blood test called Glucose Tolerance Test to confirm whether you are diabetic or
otherwise.

Physiotherapy does not work to me. I do an alternative medication that is

better after taking Essentials+Proflavanol. Since there is a post about USANA
from you, can you advise me on this. Does this 3 pills enough for me? Or i still
have to take an optimizer? Thanks Dr.

Dear Member,

A good dose of antioxidants daily is almost essential in this modern living when
gastronomy is more of a fashion/arts than science. Its good that you are reaping
the positive results from USANA antioxidants. In fact you can get such results by
consuming any high quality antioxidants.
Antioxidants are theoritically essential to prevent/delay chronic/degenerative
diseases which include the disc problem that you are suffering.
Proflavanol is an optimizer to boost your antioxidants supply.
If you want to optimize joint health, then I would advise to take Procosa II.

cheers

I have a few questions about my lab report and treatment of my gastirits. The
findings are A. Biopsy lesion duodenum (H&E and AB/Pas STains) Benign duodenal
mucosa with erosion and reactive epithelial changes. negative for significant
villous atrophy or organisms. B. Biopsy Pylorus: Benign pyloric mucosa with
H.Pylori-associated moderate chronic active gastritis and focal intestinal
metaplasia. An immunohistochemical stain confirms H.Plylori organisms; and
alcian blue/pas stain confirms intestinal metaplasia and is negative for
maliganant cells. The Dr. recommended treatment is: a prevpac for H. Pylori.
then he wants to put me on prilosec for a few months and see if my stomach
improves. He mentioned that I could be on PPi's forever (this scares me and I
hope this isn't the case) My questions are: if the H. pylori is eliminated will
the chronic gastritis improve or totally heal? 2. Is the PPI necessary and
correct treatment program? 3. Will the supplement DGL help out with my
condition. 3. I drink only 1 carbonated drink a day (no caffeine) and only 2
cups of coffee in a week (is this a reasonable amount of caffeine restriction?
4. Would digestive enzyme supplements help out with my condition, until it
possibly heals? My stats are: 34 years old, Male, 5'7 200lbs, exercise 3-4 times
a week. Non smoker, moderate to no alcohol

Dear Member,

The usual regime to treat Helicobacter positive gastritis is a short course of
PPI+antibiotics(Usually Klacid+amoxycillin) for 1 week. About 80% of patients
will improve with this first line treatment. The other 20% may not respond and
continue to have symptoms. In this case, some tests will be done and if
Helicobacter pylori is still positive, a second line of treatment will be given.
If the patient responds to treatment, either first line or second-line,and
becomes symptom-free,he doesn't need to be on PPI any longer.
If the symptoms recur, then PPI can be taken on-demand(when necessary).

Your diet seems reasonable enough.

Digestive enzymes is not known to help helicobacter gastritis. But taking
Probiotics is good for gut health in general

I am a 45 year old female that has been experiencing left calf
tightness/numbness upon waking for several months. No weakness. Usually
resolves during the day although can be felt at times when exercising.
Recently, after carrying a heavy load of bags, I experienced a severe burning
sensation in my left shoulder that resolved when putting the bags down. A
couple days later, I awoke with my left upper arm tight/numb and a bit down my
left side (under the arm area). It is taking longer to resolve and I am
extremely worried as I am waking up with both arm/leg numb. Xrays of the
cervical and lumbar spine unremarkable. I continue googling my symptoms and have
scared myself. Could these be Ms or brain tumor symptoms ... please advise and
thank you.

Dear Member,

With such symptoms, you are right to consider a problems in the brain. In fact it
is not just the brain that need to be considered, but also the other part of the
Central Nervous System, namely the spinal cord.
Palin xrays alone is not adequate investigations of the central nervous
systems-you need,in my opinion,an MRI of the brain and also perhaps the spinal
cord.

Dear Member,

Irregular periods for no obvious reasons has to be investigated by your
Gynaecologist. You are coming towards the end of your fertile years and with
these changes, you should see your Gynaecologist soon for a thorough check up
which will include your hormone blood tests and also an ultrasound scan.

If you suspect blood in the urine, you need to have your urine checked in the

to view your kidneys and urine tubes.
Your blood in the urine may or may not be related to your tummy wounds from the

For an adult to be suffering from dizziness and tight chest pain, the main
possible cause is some kind of heart attack.I hope by now you should have seen
