Hi Dr.
My wife had fell down the outside stairs, she has had back pain for 4
months now, after our 3rd child, but it was getting better. Tonight
she went out side and fell down 4 stairs ( wood). She couldn't move
and still is having hard time breathing. We raised her arms over her
head and was able to breath, but it hurt. Were worried if she did some
damages her lungs, is that likely?

Dear Member,

I suggest you bring her to the emergency department to have the xrays of the
chest and backbones done to rule out any damage to the lungs or other structures
in the thorax or any bones fracture.
