the doctor in chennai miot is saying that i need to undergo a
treatment on correction of deformity and ankle fusion(surgery) . i
will tell my history i met with a seviour bus accident on nov 20th a
major one and doctor in my state had operated and placed a rod in my
leg by removing the plate but doctor in chennai r saying that this rod
should not be kept ankle fusion had been taken place so we had to
correct it by anlke fusion correction can u suggest me wt they r going
to do and how they had to da plz

Dear Member,

The Orthopaedic Surgeon will opt to fuse the ankle joint or any joint for that
matter if the injury has damaged the joint so badly and it is causing a lot of
pain and deformity.In this situation it is better not to have the joint than to
have one.By fusing the joint one will loose the joint but hopefully the symptoms
will also disappear.
