My name's Amanda, I'm 14 years old, and ever since 5th grade, I've
been getting these horrible chest pains, now it's increasing to
shoulder pains aswell. I went to the doctor, and he thought I was
constipated..but I'm not. haha
I get these shoulder/chest pains on and off, and I have no idea why..
What should I do??
I'm scared and confused. :( Please help me..

Dear Amanda,

Chest pain may be due to diseases in the lungs or heart.Physical
examinations alone may not discover anything significant and as such
the doctor will have to do some tests eg.chest xray and EKG.
Rarely, acid reflux from the stomach up to the oesophagus may cause
chest pain.
Your doctor may have to consider all these possibilities
