What would you do if your pain doctor did a routine blood test and it

showed that you weren't taking your meds and you really were? I am so

scared. I have never had to take a pill in my life until I got sick 3

years ago and now I not only have to face withdrawals and possible be

labeled as a drug seller or addict but I will have nothing to control

my pain now. Help!!!!!!!!!!!! I am an Avon Rep and mother of 3 children

2 of whom are also disabled. I can't handle anything else.

Dear Member,

There are so many types and groups of painkillers in the market. Some are
available over the counters and others require a doctor's prescription.Different
people respond differently to the painkillers.Your doctor will have to monitor
your response to the pain killers prescribed.Since you have fibromyalgia, which
is a dificult longterm problem, you need to be under the care of a
Rheumatologist(Physician with specialized knowledge of musculoskeletal
diseases).

Good Luck

Dr Hamid
