Hello doctor..i am a 22 year old spinster.3 months bak I had slight
pain in my left breast which was there for about a week or so.it
started after I had a badmitton match .so I assumed it may be coz of
that.i went to a general physician .she said nothing to worry and may
be a muscle catch Or coz of periods.. from past 1 month I din get
it ..but now from a week there is slight pain again only in the left
breast..there is no swelling or anything..i get itching sensation on
my left nipple also..is it something serious.?.are thr chances of
breast cancer at this age.?.plz plz help me ..i am worried..

Dear Divya,

Pain in the breast is seldom a symptoma of breast cancer in its early
stage.Usually early breast cancer is painless.

Breast pain or even lump following strenuous activity or direct trauma to the
breast could be due to what is called Traumatic Fat Necrosis-some fat tissue is
dead and cause nearby reaction giving rise to a lump.You need to undergo an
ultrasound test in order to confirm this.
