Dear Dr. Hamid
I'm writing to you so i can guet help and a litle peace of mind.
I'm a 35 year old healthy male. I had an hemorroidectomy with
Ligasure almost 3 weeks ago. I have no more pain, but i still have
to have another cirgury becouse the doctor said that he left 3 skins
outside (they look like hemorroids, only larger and thin, arround
the anus, to avoid estenosis. He says that this precedure is simple.
I'm scared already, becouse i cant take another week of intensive
pain, and i really canīt stay at home for 2 or three weeks. Can you
tell me if this procedure is faster to recover and less painfull? I
really need to do it in order to make my anus look normal. After the
cirgury, i dind't feel any pain inside, only these 3 flags of skin
hurted. Now, there is no more pain. Can you tell me if it is safe
to go back to the gym already and work my upper body with weights
and can i take the supplements ( some may have natural steroids and
hormone boosters, but their not the ones that are dangerous, and
forbiden, don't do cicles and all that). Please be so kind to help,
i'm locked at home, on vacation and nothing to do, only walks at the
park.
Forguive my english, i'm from Portugal. My doctor is on vacation and
i cant reach for him to ask him.
Thank you so mutch
Fernando

Dear Fernando,

It is quite common to have what is called skin tags in between the removed
piles. These skin tags are quite harmless and they can be left alone if they
don't cause any trouble like poor hygiene, itch and smells. And if they need
removed, like your doctor said its much simpler procedure than Haemorrhoidectomy
with much less pain and with good painkillers it could be almost pain free after
the operation.
After your haemorrrhoids wounds healed by 2-3weeks after the operation, you can
go back to your normal physical activities including sports.
